New Delhi: Indian football received a shot in the arm when renowned English Premier League (EPL) side, Tottenham Hotspur renewed its partnership with the national team at the forthcoming Paris 2011 Homeless World Cup.
Tottenham's involvement in the Homeless World Cup is a continuation of the club’s relationship with Krida Vikas Sanstha Nagpur (KVSN) and their involvement in the management of Team India at previous Homeless World Cup football tournaments in Milan (2009) and Rio de Janeiro (2010).
The Homeless World Cup celebrates the year round work of its national partners in an annual, international football tournament, which this year will be attended by 64 national teams, including 16 in the Women’s Homeless World Cup. India will be represented by two teams (male and female) at the competition, both organised and managed by KVSN.
