Bell century puts England in the driving seat

Indian skipper MS Dhoni recalled Ian Bell, who departed in a dramatic way at the stroke of tea but put England in command on the third day at tea. England reached 254 for three with a lead of 187 runs.
Bell scored 137 off 178 balls with the help of 22 boundaries
He added 162 runs for the third wicket with Kevin Pietersen, who fell to S Sreesanth for 63.
Earlier, Bell hit a stylish half-century to allow England dominate the opening session against India on the third day of the second Test being played at Trent Bridge. England, who resumed at 24 for one this morning, lost their skipper Andrew Strauss for 16 runs who poked at a Sreesanth outswinger to be caught by wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The session though belonged to Bell who most dealt with boundaries hitting 14 of them in the process.
Brief Scores: England 221 all out (Stuart Broad 64; Praveen Kumar 3 for 45) & 254 for 2 (Ian Bell 137*, Kevin Pietersen 63; S Sreesanth 1 for 23) lead India 288 all out (Rahul Dravid 117, Yuvraj Singh 62, VVS Laxman 54; Stuart 6 for 46, James Anderson 2 for 70) by 187 runs.
